Pokazowa Zagroda Żubrów w Krajewie

Pokazowa Zagroda Żubrów w Krajewie, została stworzona w ramach projektu "Kompleksowa Ochrona Żubra w Polsce". Inwestycja, sfinansowana przez Lasy Państwowe przy wsparciu funduszy UE, jest częścią działań na rzecz ochrony tego gatunku.

Zagroda zajmuje 10 ha powierzchni, gdzie żubry żyją w warunkach przypominających ich naturalne środowisko, w tym na łąkach, w lasach oraz w zaroślach. Odwiedzający mogą podziwiać zwierzęta z platformy i wieży widokowej, a także zapoznać się z biologią gatunku oraz historią jego ochrony dzięki tablicom edukacyjnym.

Żubry w Krajewie są częścią programu ochrony ex situ, czyli hodowli poza naturalnym środowiskiem. Od 8 marca 2024 roku obiekt jest dostępny dla zwiedzających przez cały rok (z wyjątkiem poniedziałków).
