Muzeum Sztuki i Techniki Japońskiej Manggha Kraków

Manggha, Muzeum Sztuki i Techniki Japońskiej w Krakowie, zostało założone w 2007 roku jako narodowa instytucja kultury. Jego początki sięgają roku 1920, kiedy krytyk sztuki i kolekcjoner, Feliks Jasieński, przekazał swoje zbiory związane z Japonią krakowskiemu Muzeum Narodowemu.

Po latach zapomnienia, zbiory te stały się inspiracją dla młodego reżysera, Andrzeja Wajdy, który postanowił wybudować nowy obiekt w Krakowie, który był domem dla kolekcji Jasieńskiego. Dzięki wsparciu władz miasta i rządu Japonii, Manggha powstała w 1994 roku według projektu japońskiego architekta, Arata Isozaki.

Obecnie muzeum pełni rolę centrum kulturalnego i oferuje ekspozycje stałe i czasowe, kursy związane z kulturą japońską oraz działalność edukacyjną. Manggha została uhonorowana Nagrodą Specjalną Fundacji Japońskiej oraz wyróżniona jako jedna z najciekawszych realizacji architektonicznych w Polsce po 1989 roku.
