Muzeum Regionalne w Bełchatowie

Muzeum Regionalne w Bełchatowie mieści się w XVIII-wiecznym Dworze Olszewskich, który jest jego siedzibą. Placówka, będąca miejską jednostką organizacyjną, została utworzona na mocy uchwały Rady Miejskiej Bełchatowa w 1994 roku. Jej powstanie było wynikiem działań Społecznego Komitetu Założycielskiego Muzeum Regionalnego, który został powołany w poprzednim roku. Muzeum rozpoczęło działalność w 1995 roku.

W muzeum można zwiedzać stałą wystawę pod tytułem "Wnętrza dworskie z przełomu XIX i XX wieku". Ekspozycja obejmuje część pomieszczeń dworskich, w tym Salę Koncertową, Salon Owalny i Pokój Kominkowy. Chociaż prezentowane meble i sprzęty nie są oryginalnym wyposażeniem budynku (które zostało zniszczone lub rozproszone w ciągu lat), odwiedzający mogą podziwiać stylowe wnętrza tamtego okresu. Na piętrze budynku znajduje się również ekspozycja "Salonik Tradycji Niepodległościowych", gdzie można zobaczyć m.in. kopię obrazu Jana Matejki "Kościuszko pod Racławicami" oraz kolekcję broni białej i palnej.

Muzeum organizuje także wystawy czasowe i prowadzi bibliotekę oraz archiwum. Jest otwarte przez cały rok, z wyjątkiem poniedziałków i sobót. Wstęp jest płatny w dni robocze, natomiast w niedziele wstęp jest bezpłatny.
